Part of our Kids First Campaign, the Candidate Training on Children's Issues is a briefing for all candidates for state electoral offices on the status of Missouri's children and major policy issues affecting them. The training took place on June 16, 2006 in Columbia, MO.

Speak Out for Kids Luncheon - October 25, 2006
Our annual Speak Out for Kids Luncheon raises funds to help support our policy efforts. This year's luncheon will feature a keynote address by Victor Rivers, actor and former NFL player, and leading activist against child abuse and domestic violence.

Policy Briefing - November 2006
The annual CMC Policy Briefing is the only forum in Missouri that assembles the state's diverse children's constituencies and provides participants with the latest information about the state budget and anticipated legislation for the coming session. Participants learn about important advocacy strategies and hear from leading child advocates, legislators, state agency leaders and political experts. The next Policy Briefing will be in November 2006. The Policy Briefing is open to all. Reduced prices for CMC members at the $500 level and up.
